Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ Review: Is It Worth Buying in India?

Finding a sunscreen that protects your skin without feeling greasy or heavy can be a challenge, especially if you have oily or combination skin. Many sunscreens either leave a noticeable white cast, feel sticky throughout the day, or don’t sit well under makeup. If you have oily or combination skin and prefer a lightweight, moisturizing sunscreen with a natural finish, the Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ is worth considering. I can confidently say it has become one of the better Korean sunscreens I’ve tried for everyday wear. It feels lightweight, blends effortlessly and, on my oily skin, doesn’t leave my face feeling excessively greasy.

My Skin Type

I have oily skin, so whenever I test a sunscreen, I mainly look for:

  • Doesn’t feel greasy after a few hours
  • Doesn’t clog pores

These are the points I considered while using this sunscreen.

The packaging dispenses the product neatly without creating a mess, making it convenient for travel or keeping in your handbag.

Texture & Consistency

Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ Review

The texture is one of my favourite things about this sunscreen.

It feels like a lightweight moisturizing cream rather than a thick sunscreen.

The formula spreads effortlessly without dragging the skin and absorbs fairly quickly.

It doesn’t feel sticky or overly heavy after application.

The sunscreen uses modern UV filters and contains 30% Heartleaf (Houttuynia Cordata) Extract, along with Niacinamide and Panthenol, ingredients that are known for their soothing, hydrating and skin-supporting properties. It’s also formulated without alcohol, fragrance and essential oils.

Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ Review

After using this sunscreen for several days, I genuinely enjoyed wearing it.

One thing I noticed immediately was how comfortable it felt on my skin.

Unlike some sunscreens that leave a greasy film or make my face feel heavy within an hour, this one remained lightweight throughout the day.

It also layered beautifully over my skincare routine without pilling.

On my oily skin, it gave a natural, healthy-looking finish instead of making my face look excessively shiny.

Does It Leave a White Cast?

On my skin, I didn’t notice a visible white cast.

The sunscreen blended easily and became almost invisible after a few moments.

This matches the experience many users report with this formula, although results can vary slightly depending on skin tone and application amount.

How I Use the Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream

  • When I apply it: I use it as the last step of my morning skincare routine, after moisturizer if I need one.
  • How much I use: I apply a generous amount to my face and neck. A practical guideline is roughly two finger-lengths of sunscreen for the face and neck, rather than using only a small pea-sized amount.
  • Before going outside: I apply it around 15 minutes before sun exposure.
  • How I apply it: I spread it evenly over my face and neck and allow it a little time to settle before applying makeup.
  • Under makeup: If you’re reviewing it personally, mention whether foundation or concealer sits well over it, whether it pills, and whether it makes your makeup look oily during the day. This is valuable first-hand information.
  • Reapplication: If you’re spending several hours outdoors, sweating, or exposed to strong sunlight, mention that you reapply during the day rather than treating the morning application as enough.
  • For Indian weather: This is especially worth mentioning in your review—tell readers how it behaves in heat and humidity, whether it becomes greasy, and whether you notice increased shine after a few hours.

Is It Good for Oily Skin?

Yes, I think it performs very well on oily skin.

For me, it felt:

  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Non-greasy
  • Easy to wear daily

If you have extremely oily skin, you may still notice some shine after several hours (which is common with many moisturizing sunscreens), but I didn’t find it uncomfortable.

Does It Work Under Makeup?

Yes.

One reason I enjoyed using this sunscreen is that foundation applied smoothly on top of it.

It didn’t pill or roll up when I applied makeup afterward.

Its silky finish also helps create a nice base for everyday makeup, and the formula is marketed to sit well under foundation.
