The first and most important step is cleansing your face with a good cleaner which suits your skin type.
Never forget using non chemical toner after cleansing it closes all open pores. It balances PH level of the skin and tightens the pores.
Invest in a good moisturiser according to your skin type. Moisturising is very important as it acts as your base for your makeup.
Apply primer according to your skin type. A primer will ensure you have a smooth surface to work on. It will make it easier to apply the foundation.
It will also help the makeup to last longer.
Concealer conceals any imperfections like black spots, acne marks or any marks on the face. It is very important to use concealer if you want your makeup to look perfect and flawless.
Apply the concealer under your eyes in an inverted triangle and dab it into the skin with either a brush, beauty sponge or your finger. Apply the concealer in the rest of the areas where you think you require it.
Choose the right foundation according to your skin tone and skin type. Usually, powder and water-based liquid foundations are good for oily skin while dry skin is best with cream foundation or liquid foundation.
Apply a small quantity of the foundation onto the face. Distribute it evenly.
Use a foundation brush, or blending sponge or your fingers to blend it. Blend well till you get a smooth finish.
For natural look use powder blush. You can use cream blush as well depending on your skin type. Don’t apply too much. You don’t want look like a clown so make it subtle and natural.
Use eye primer to prime your eyes. The primer will keep the oil away while making the eye makeup last longer. Choose a color that matches your outfit or brings out your eyes.
If you want a simple everyday look, use non-shimmery and natural colors like browns, nudes. These look great for daily wear.
For those occasions where you need to add more colors purple, reds, green and blues do a great job.
If you are using cream shadows either top it with a translucent powder or apply a same shaded powder eye shadow to seal it in place.
You can use black or brown eyeliner according to your wish. Apply liquid or gel liner on the upper lash line and wing it out if you want.
Use kohl on the lower lash line.
Get the mascara and swipe over your eyelashes, top and bottom. Use eye lash curler to gently curl your lashes. You can also Add false lashes for a dramatic effect.
Always fill your brows with a brow pencil or your brow color eye shadow.
Always exfoliate your lips to remove any dead skin. Also don’t forget to prime your lips by applying lip balm. Apply your favourite lipstick and you are good to go.
