Today I will review Rey Naturals Sandalwood Essential Oil. Sandalwood oil is commonly known for its woodsy, sweet smell and is frequently used as a base for products such as incense, perfumes, cosmetics, and aftershave. Rey Naturals Sandalwood Essential Oil comes in a white and brown cardboard packaging with all details printed on the box. Box packaging looks classy. Inside the box is the oil. The bottle is made of glass and it is blue in colour. It also comes with a dropper to take the oil according to the requirement.

The oil texture is not too oily unlike other oils. It absorbs in to the skin within few minutes.

The colour of the Rey Naturals Sandalwood Essential Oil is light pale brown colour. The oil has beautiful sandalwood fragrance which stays for a while. I just love the fragrance of the oil.

 

 

It is often seen that sandalwood oil works best when combined with some other essential oils. The goodness of sandalwood is enhanced when it gets in touch with other wonders of nature. The benefit of sandalwood oil will surely augment if you add flowers like lavender, rosemary, ylang-ylang, rose, myrrh, geranium with sandalwood. Mixing these flowers with sandalwood oil will lend a heavenly aroma while increasing the therapeutic value of the oil.

I use this sandalwood essential oil for my skin care as well as in diffuser. I mix carrier oil like coconut oil or olive oil or any other essential oil like Rosemary, Lavender, Rosehip, Tea Tree Oil for my skin care.

 

 

I mix any of the one or two of other carrier or essential oil and apply on my face. The oil gets absorbed in my skin within few minutes without making my skin oily or greasy. I usually use this oil at night time.

I have been using Rey Naturals Sandalwood Essential Oil for few weeks now and I overall like the oil. I can’t actually say it reduced my pigmentation or any other acne marks on my face but overall I liked how its working on my skin.

• It’s always advisable to use sandalwood oil along with some carrier oil.
• Lactating mothers and kids below five years must refrain from using this essential oil.
• Those with sensitive skin must do a skin patch test before using it. Apply the mix on the underside of your wrist and let it stay for 24 hours. You can use it if your skin doesn’t show any adverse reaction.
• Those with medical conditions like liver disorders and cancer should either avoid it altogether or use it with caution.
