1. Prep Your Skin
Start by cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser which suits your skin type. Apply a good face toner after cleansing the face. Apply a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer.

2. Priming
Primers not only make your skin look more refined and smoother, but they also help make your foundation stick to your skin for hours on end. For very large pores, it’s best to use a silicone-based primer as these have a thicker consistency and work well to smoothen out pores, wrinkles, acne scars, and fine lines.
Take your primers according to your skin type apply with your fingers to work it deeply into the areas with enlarged pores. Gently pat the areas where you applied your primer. This helps to smooth the product out and give your skin a more even, smooth base.
3. Apply Foundation
Apply your favourite foundation with brush or beauty blender. It is best to avoid dewy and illuminating formulas or the ones that leave you with a matte finish. Look for products that give you a “natural flawless, or an “HD” finish. These work to camouflage pores and don’t feel heavy on the skin.

Makeup done right can do a lot of things. And yes, pores are some of the things that could be covered by a skillful makeup artist, you!
I swear by my face toner! It really tightens up the pores and prevents that dimpled look you can get when the makeup gets into them.

The one thing from these tips I’ve not done before is use powder, to be honest I wouldn’t even know what to do with it. But maybe I need to give it a go x
Primer really helps with the visibility of pores and imperfections. Sometimes I just wear primer especially in the summer when its too hot to wear anything else.
Thank you so much for your tips. I do the above as in cleansing and toning. I also use a primer and then foundation, but I have not actually tried a finishing powder before so I will have to get myself some to test out!
Primer does work in minimizing the look of pores. I have been using NYX primer, it really works well on my combination skin.

I just started using primer and I like that my base looks smoother and my makeup lasts longer. I just don’t see my self wearing the powder. I think it may feel too heavy on my face. Is it that important? What are the benefits of using the powder?
I have large pores around my nose but I’m so glad that my current toner is a tightening one so the sizes have been significantly reducing. The makeup hacks are good. Would need to buy a primer now.
